Barton continued his career as president of Oliver Peoples from 2002 -2006, where his leadership took the eyewear brand from a 13 million dollar company to a 43 million dollar company.

Accessories designer Patty Perreira began her career at Oliver Peoples, where she garnered both national and international acclaim. Her 18-year tenure with the company lead to high-profile consultations with an impressive roster of eyewear collections, including Paul Smith, Prada, Miu Miu, Jil Sander, Helmut Lang, and Vera Wang.

The pair teamed up in 2007 after leaving Oliver Peoples behind, and Barton Perreira was born. Following an unprecedented launch at Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Jeffrey, Fred Segal and Barneys, the brand was destined for superstardom. Barton Perreira did almost $2 million in retail sales within its first two months, and they’ve never looked back. “In an industry that’s controlled by one or two really big companies, we wanted to have really special product,” Barton once said.
